A comprehensive analysis has found that human destruction of the natural ecosystem increases the number of rats, bats, etc that shelter diseases that can lead to a pandemic. The research evaluated 7000 animal communities on 6 continents. It found that demolition & conversion of wild places into settlements often wipe out larger species. Experts had told COVID-19 pandemic was an SOS signal for humans in June.
