As part of a closed-loop sustainability effort, Glenfiddich has begun converting its delivery vehicles to operate on low-emission biogas created from the waste collected during the distilling process. Dufftown distillery in north-eastern Scotland has erected the fueling stations. It uses a technology invented by its parent business, William Grant & Sons, to transform waste residue from manufacturing into ULCF, or Ultra-Low Carbon Fuel gas.
