World Bank's Kabul-based staff, families evacuated to Pakistan

Amid the turmoil in Afghanistan, the Kabul-based staff of the World Bank and their families have been evacuated to Islamabad. The information was first accessed by Reuters from an internal staff memo. The World Bank has not yet made it clear if it will continue its operations in Afghanistan under Taliban rule. Nearly 350 people including World Bank officials arrived in Islamabad from Kabul, said Radio Pakistan.
