According to a study by Cornell University, climate change has impacted the food-production rate of the world. The study funded by the US Department of Agriculture has revealed that the world has lost nearly 21% of growth for agricultural output since the 1960s. In terms of quantity, this is equal to losing the last seven years of productivity growth. The report comes amid the warning of a “looming catastrophe” by the UN.
