9 Muslim minister in Sri lanka resign after protest over Easter day attacks

After the protest, all the 9 Muslim Ministers in Sri Lanka resigned from their posts following the communal backlash of the Easter Sunday bombings that killed nearly 250 people. An influential Buddhist monk went on hunger strike demanding resignation from 3 top Muslim officials, he accused of having links with suicide bombers who targeted churches and hotels. The remaining ministers resigned in solidarity with them.
