After announcing his presidential run on Thursday in the US, the former vice president, Joe Biden has raised $6.3m in the first 24 hours more than his Democratic 2020 rivals. The campaign says 96,926 people donated money on the first day, which means each person has given $65 on an average. While Bernie Sanders gathered $5.9m in his first 24 hours, Beto O’Rourke raised $6.1m and Elizabeth Warren acquired more than $6m.
