Days after Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison slammed Beijing over a photoshopped image of an Australian soldier in Afghanistan, United States lambasted China for the digitally manipulated image, calling it a "new low". Meanwhile, China rebuffed Morrison's calls for an apology. "The CCP's latest attack on Australia is another example of its unchecked use of disinformation and coercive diplomacy," said US State Department.
