AK Sharma, Gujarat cadre IAS officer who took VRS, joins BJP in UP

Gujarat cadre IAS officer AK Sharma, who recently took voluntary retirement from service, formally joined the BJP on Thursday. He joined the party in Lucknow. Ahead of joining the party, Sharma had said, “I am joining BJP. I want to do a small conversion.’’ He has expressed his desire to work for the party and will be joining the party, BJP spokesperson Chandra Mohan had said earlier.
