Alibaba logged $1.44 billion of sales on Singles' day opening minute
Online retail giant Alibaba has recorded sales of $1.44 billion on the opening minute of its annual Singles' Day sale. Alibaba is China's largest retail company and it reported that Xiaomi, Apple and Dyson were the 3 most popular brands in the early sale. The annual retail celebration has become an important bellweather for China and offered a glimpse into Chinese consumer sentiment amid the trade war with US.
