Amid Saradha chit fund scam controversy, Rajeev Kumar transferred to CID

In the middle of the Saradha chit fund scam case, Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar has been transferred to West Bengal CID as ADG, IGP on Tuesday and as per the official notification Anuj Sharma, ADG, IGP (Law and Order), will now be the new Police Commissioner of Kolkata. Rajeev joined as commissioner in 2016 replacing Surajit Kar Purakayastha. He worked as Special Task Force chief under the Kolkata Police also.
