Anyone can now buy land in J&K: MHA

The Centre on Tuesday notified J&K Reorganisation (Adaptation of Central Laws) Third Order, 2020. With the move, people from the rest of India can buy land in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The Ministry of Home Affairs amended the J&K Land Revenue Act, 1996. People can now buy property in the UT except for agricultural land. Agricultural can only be sold and transferred to agriculturist in the UT.
