Australia to build its own guided missiles amid the "changing global environment"

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced that the country is going to partner with a weapons manufacturer to build its own guided missiles worth 1 billion Australian dollars. Morrison cited the "changing global environment" while adding that Australia will build the missiles in close collaboration with the US. “Creating our own sovereign capability on Australian soil is essential to keep Australians safe,” he said.
