A report by Britain on the erstwhile autonomous city of Hong Kong says that China has broken legal obligations and is using the national security law to "drastically curtail freedoms". British Foreign Minister Dominic Raab says in a foreword in the six-monthly report, that Beijing has breached the 1984 Joint Declaration, signed by then Chinese Premier Zhao Ziyang and British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
