Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has been accused of orchestrating the arrival of thousands of people at the borders of Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland in a move that the European Union sees as retaliation to sanctions imposed on the country. “This aggressive behavior … is unacceptable and amounts to a direct attack aimed at destabilizing and pressurizing the EU,” a statement by Slovenia read.
