Benami Properties Worth Rs 417 Crore Seized In Punjab In 2017-18

The government has said today that IT department has attached benami properties in Punjab of worth Rs 471 crore last year. IT officials on Wednesday have said that this is 10% of such properties, priced at Rs 4,500 crore across India. Govt. is taking steps to make out benami properties and 24 Benami Property Units has been set up across India, said Minister of State for Finance, Shiv Pratap Shankar.
