British Passports issued without 'EU Label' despite Brexit delay

Despite the Brexit delay, the new burgundy UK passports that were introduced from 30 March without the 2 words 'European Union' on the cover, the day after the UK was supposed to leave the EU. Some received the old passports & dark blue passports resembling the pre-EU British design are due to be issued from year-end. The people who received were quite surprised & appaled, as they thought to still be members of the EU.
