In a major political drift, all 6 BSP MLAs have left their party to join Gehlot led Congress. A merger letter has been submitted to the speaker CP Joshi, who accepted it. An exactly similar development happened in 2009 when all 6 BSP MLAs joined Congress after the 2008 assembly elections. After this political development, Congress strengthens its grip on the state by having 106 out of 200 seats by their side.
