The calls for an inquiry into the US Capitol violence have grown stronger after former US President Donald Trump was acquitted after the impeachment trial. This was the second impeachment trial victory for Trump. “There should be a complete investigation about what happened," said Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy, one of seven Republicans who voted to convict Trump. Some Republicans did join Democrats in calling for an inquiry.
