Chile capital Santiago in state of emergency amid unrest

Chile's capital Santiago is under a state of emergency after protests against increased metro ticket prices turned violent. High school and university students attacked many underground stations, starting fires and blocking traffic. It left widespread damage throughout the city as thousands of commuters faced the wrath without transport. All metro lines will be closed for at least two days due to the destruction.
