China names "Wolf Warrior" diplomat Qin Gang as new ambassador to US

China has tapped Qin Gang, one of its most prominent diplomats, as the ambassador to US. Gang is not only a close confidante of Chinese President Xi Jinping but also known as a "Wolf Warrior" diplomat. "China and the United States are entering a new round of mutual exploration, understanding and adaptation, trying to find a way to get along with each other," Gang said. He has vowed to bring US-China ties "back on track".
