China poses direct threat to Canada’s national security: CSIS chief

David Vigneault, the director of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service has slammed China for “pursuing a strategy for geopolitical advantage on all fronts”. Vigneault did not mince any words and said that there was a direct threat to Canada’s “national security and sovereignty” from Chinese policies. “It is no secret that we are most concerned about the actions by the governments of countries like Russia and China,” he said.
