China says US is the inventor of "coercive diplomacy"

China's vice foreign minister Xie Feng met US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman on Monday in Tianjin. Feng said United States is the "inventor of coercive diplomacy". Feng called on Washington to stop demonising Beijing while adding that the countermeasures China takes against Washington are "legitimate and reasonable". China said US demonises Beijing to "blame China for its own structural problems."
