China slams Australia for scrapping Belt and Road Initiative

China reacted sharply to an Australian federal government decision to scrap a Belt and Road Initiative. "The BRI cooperation between China and the Victoria state is conducive to deepening economic and trade relations between the two sides," the Chinese embassy said in a statement. The Chinese embassy called the move "unreasonable and provocative". Australian government cancelled two deals between Victoria state and China.
