China's message on ties with France after Macron's India visit

Chinese President Xi Jinping is eager to "break new ground" in China-France relations. This statement came days after French President Emmanuel Macron's recent trip to India. During the visit, India and France revealed a defense roadmap and strengthened cooperation in the Indian Ocean and Indo-Pacific region. Xi's remarks also coincided with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France.
