Chinese PPE kits failed safety tests at its lab: DRDO rejects report amid COVID-19 crisis

A report by ET stated thousands of personal protection equipment (PPE) kits which were donated to the Indian government were found to be unusable as they failed checks. The DRDO has dismissed the reports saying DRDO does not pass or fail kits provided to it for testing by any vendor. It said their labs just carry out tests as per standards and give to the concerned agencies. About 170,000 PPE kits arrived in India.
