CM Amarinder Singh launches ‘Punjab Smart Connect Scheme’; more than 1.74 lakh students to get smartphones

Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh launched a state-wide Rs 92 crore Punjab Smart Connect Scheme that aims at providing more than 1.74 lakh class XII students with smartphones by November 2020. CM Amarinder personally handed over smartphones to six Class XII students in a symbolic gesture. He said that people believe in the promises listed in the election manifesto and it was his duty to ensure the implementation of each one of them.
