Congress claimed to have carried out 6 surgical strikes under the UPA -led government & criticised the BJP for politicising the armed forces. BJP retorted back at the Congress, accusing the party of making 'fraudulent & farcical statements' & reiterated that the UPA never allowed armed forces to act against terrors. BJP said under Manmohan govt; forces were never even allowed to take punitive action against terrorists.
