Coronavirus in India: Total count surpasses 1,38,000 mark with biggest single day surge of 6,977 cases

In the biggest single-day surge, India reported 6,977 cases and 154 deaths due to coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The total count of coronavirus cases has gone beyond 1,38,000-mark. Coronavirus cases in Maharashtra, the worst affected state, have crossed 50,000. 57,720 people have recovered/cured. There are over 77,000 active cases in the country as of now. The national capital has reported over 14,000 cases.
