Days after the 90-minute phone call between US President Joe Biden and Chinese premier Xi Jinping, several reports claimed that an offer by the US President for a face-to-face meeting was turned down by his Chinese counterpart. However, Biden has claimed that the reports are not true. "Xi apparently intimated that the tone and atmosphere of the relationship needed to be improved first," a source claimed.
