DMK legislator's son, daughter-in-law arrested for abusing domestic help

Anto Mathivanan and his wife Maarlina, both relatives of a prominent Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) legislator in Tamil Nadu, were arrested on Friday. The couple was placed in judicial custody for allegedly abusing their 18-year-old domestic worker. The police began investigating the case after the Ulundurpet Government Hospital reported that the woman was being treated for injuries sustained from abuse.
