Don't grant Hong Kongers asylum if you want safety of 300,000 Canadian passport holders: China to Canada

In a shocking statement, China warned Canada against granting asylum to Hong Kong democracy protesters. “We strongly urge the Canadian side not grant so-called political asylum to those violent criminals in Hong Kong because it is the interference in China’s domestic affairs," Beijing’s Ottawa envoy Cong Peiwu said while citing the good health and safety of the 300,000 Canadian passport-holders in Hong Kong.
