ECI reveals-647 cases of paid news registered, 909 social media posts removed in 2019 LS Polls

The Election Commission of India revealed a total of 647 cases of paid news have been registered while 909 social media posts were removed from various social media platforms in the 2019 LS elections. Among those, 57 were detected during the last phase of voting on Sunday. Out of the 909 social media posts that were pulled down, 650 posts were from FB, 220 from Twitter, 31 from ShareChat, 5 from Google & 3 from Whatsapp.
