Election Commission transfers Himanta Biswa Sarma's brother, a senior cop, after barring him from campaigning

The Election Commission has transferred the brother of Assam minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Goalpara Superintendent of Police Sushanta Biswa Sarma after banning the minister from campaigning in the assembly elections for 48 hours. IPS officer Veera Venakata Rakesh Reddy will replace Sushanta Biswa Sarma as the new superintendent while the minister's brother will be transferred to some suitable post in the state headquarters.
