Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra to become next CEC

According to the reports, the name of Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra has been cleared for his appointment as the next chief election commissioner. The order regarding his appointment could be issued anytime. He will assume his position on April 13. Chandra was appointed as an election commissioner on February 14, 2019. Assembly polls in Goa, Manipur, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh will be held under his watch.
