Elvis Gomes, former AAP convenor in Goa, joins Congress

Elvis Gomes, former convenor of AAP in Goa, has joined the Congress party. The bureaucrat-turned-politician, who was AAP’s CM candidate for the 2017 Assembly polls, joined Congress on Sunday. “After leaving AAP I had not joined any party for eight-nine months. I have given it a lot of thought. I have come on my own terms,” Gomes said. He was inducted into the party at Congress House after meeting Rahul Gandhi 2 days ago.
