Facebook embarks in an offline process to verify political advertiser before 2019 elections

For the first time ever, Facebook has embarked on an offline process to verify the political advertisers in India before the 2019 elections. India has one of the largest user bases for the social network and Facebook has written an email on 8th of December that the political advertisers need to provide scanned copies of identity and address proofs which the India-based team will verify in order to advertise on FB India.
