First gay man appointed as minister in Israel by PM Benjamin Netanyahu

The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu has appointed the first openly gay man, Amir Ohana as a minister. Amir belongs to Netanyahu's Likud party and has been named as the acting justice minister followed by the removal of the former office holder. Ohana is a loyalist of Netanyahu, who protects the PM from possible prosecution. His selection has come after parliament dissolved for fresh elections in September.
