Fled from Afghanistan to "avoid disasters": Ashraf Ghani vows to return home

After severe criticism for flying out of the country, former Afghan President Ashraf Ghani broke his silence, sharing a video message on Facebook. In the video message, Ghani claimed that he fled from Afghanistan to "avoid disasters" while adding that he was "in talks" to return home. Ghani further claimed that he wanted to "transit the power to Taliban peacefully" but was "evicted from Afghanistan" against his will.
