Former Assam Assembly Speaker Pranab Kumar Gogoi dies at 84

Former Speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly and sitting Congress MLA Pranab Kumar Gogoi passed away at a private hospital in Guwahati Monday night. Gogoi took his last breath at the age of 84. He was suffering from age-related ailments for several days and was admitted to a private hospital in Guwahati. He is survived by his wife Mohini Gogoi, three sons and their spouses and grandchildren. Gogoi's body was taken to Rajiv Bhawan.
