Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe apologised to the citizens of the country for making incorrect statements in the parliament in connection with a political funding scandal. "Even though the accounting procedures happened without my knowledge, I feel morally responsible for what happened," the former PM told a parliamentary committee.
