Former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, who had to resign from his post in late February after fellow party member Muhyiddin Yassin withdrew their Bersatu party from the ruling coalition, has decided to form a new ethnic Malay party to continue the political fight. Matahir was sacked from his previous party during a political struggle with his successor. The two time PM ruled for 21 years until 2003.
