Germany blocks Chinese state-backed firm from acquiring satellite and radar technology firm

Chinese firms have a history of bypassing the security norms of different countries while acquiring various firms. Germany recently blocked a Chinese state-backed missile maker named “China Aerospace and Industry Group” from acquiring a satellite and radar technology firm IMST while citing national security concerns. The relations between Germany and China remain tense despite close trade ties in the past few years.
