Google Will Pay $5 billion Penalty For Android Antitrust Violations

For breaking antitrust laws, EU regulators have imposed fine of $5 billion on Google. Google has mistreated its Android market dominance by forcing its Search Engine and Chrome apps into the operating system. It has also paid certain large manufacturers to bundle only the Google Search app on Smartphones. The European Commission has been investigating Android closely from last year after rival’s complaint against Google.
