Government draft new drugs policy

After capping prices of stents and knee implants, the govt is now planning to restrict trade margins to make drugs cheaper and boost the local industry. The policy also laid down several other suggestions that include enhancing quality standards, boost domestic manufacturing, and encourage research and development. The policy, give more control to the govt over the operations of the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority.
