GST reduced on 29 items

Following GST Council meeting today, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley announced that the GST rates on 29 items including handicrafts, along with 53 services have been reduced by the Council. The new rates will be applicable from January 25. However, no decision has been taken to bring real estate sector, petrol and diesel under GST but a decision on this expected to be taken in next meeting.
