Gujarat: Another Congress lawmaker resigns ahead of Rajya Sabha polls on June 19

Brijesh Merja, the MLA from Morbi became the third Congress man from Gujarat to tender his resignation ahead of the Rajya Sabha polls on June 19. Merja submitted his resignation to Gujarat Assembly Speaker Rajendra Trivedi on Friday, who announced the resignation to the media. The resignations prompted the Congress to divide its remaining legislators into seven groups and rush them to different places in the state.
