H. Vasanthakumar resigns as Congress MLA in Nanguneri; town to face bypolls

The sitting Congress MLA of Nanguneri, H. Vasanthakumar has submitted his resignation to the Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker P. Dhanapal on Wednesday, who has accepted it as well following his recent election to the Lok Sabha from Kanniyakumari constituency. After his resignation, Nanguneri will have to face bypolls, as the term of the 15th State Legislative Assembly is slated to end next year only.
