Hours before remembrance, Sikh Soldiers' WWI memorial vandalized

Hours before a planned remembrance for the Sikh soldier's contribution in WWI, a vandalism took place that destroyed the 10-foot-high statue, depicting a Sikh soldier of the 15th Sikh battalion. The statue was unveiled on Sunday in honour to the Sikh soldiers who lost their lives during the first World War. This is the newest addition to the series of racial attacks, Sikhs have been subjected to in the UK in recent time.
