"In order to avoid the bleeding flood": Ashraf Ghani on social media after leaving Afghanistan

After facing the heat for leaving Afghanistan as Taliban militants took control of Kabul, former President Ashraf Ghani took to Facebook to explain why he fled from the war-torn country. Ghani said he came across a hard choice -- whether he should face the armed Taliban or leave the country that he dedicated his life to protect. The former President further said that he left Kabul to "avoid the bleeding flood".
