India, Australia to form Joint Working Group for defence technology research

On Wednesday, India and Australia pledged to advance joint defence research and material cooperation on defence related technologies, as the two Quad members forge closer ties over shared concerns regarding growing Chinese power in the Indo-Pacific region. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh hailed the growing ties between the two countries, calling Australia "a close and trusted partner of India."
